Sydney, Tuesday 18 July – Corporate restructuring experts Cathro & Partners has appointed Mark Cook to bolster its insolvency and restructuring advisory practice.
Mr Cook has two decades of experience in forensic accounting, fraud investigations, corporate restructuring advisory and insolvency in both Australia and the UK. His expertise complements the firm’s three specialist teams across personal insolvency, corporate insolvency, and government advisory.
Mr Cook’s appointment follows Cathro & Partners’ introduction of a personal insolvency specialist team in June to build on the firm’s existing corporate insolvency and government advisory services, providing comprehensive support for individuals across bankruptcy, controlling trustee and personal insolvency agreements.
Cathro & Partners Managing Principal, Simon Cathro, says Mr Cook’s track record and experience will provide invaluable advice to our growing client base, with insolvency and fraud on the rise across the economy.
“We’re seeing an increased need for specialist expertise in forensic accounting and fraud investigations. While insolvency numbers are back at pre-COVID levels, we’re predicting demand will spike as the country faces further rate hikes and a tough economic environment.”
Mr Cook says he is pleased to join the growing firm and looking forward to helping clients before the stage of insolvency by our restructuring services seeking to preserve business value.
“I’m pleased to be joining a firm of Cathro & Partners’ caliber and reputation in market and working alongside an already stellar team of insolvency, restructuring and advisory experts.”
